DM: Atonement

Reading Assignment for class on Friday, Dec. 9: Get caught up in your Book of Mormon reading through Mosiah 18 AND study Mosiah 3:19

Make sure you have Mosiah 3:19 marked as an Atonement Doctrinal Mastery verse.

Consider adding these quotes to your scriptures in Mosiah 3:19

  1. ā€œRepentance is among the most hopeful and encouraging—and yes, most peaceful—words in the gospel vocabularyā€ (Elder Jeffrey R. Holland,  ā€œThe Peaceable Things of the Kingdom,ā€ Ensign, Nov. 1996, 83.).
  2. ā€œThere are many degrees of personal worthiness and righteousness. Yet repentance is a blessing to all of us. We each need to feel the Savior’s arms of mercy through the forgiveness of our sins. …Some … may need ā€˜a mighty change [of] heart’ [Alma 5:12] to confront serious sins. The help of a priesthood leader might be necessary. For most, repenting is quiet and quite private, daily seeking the Lord’s help to make needed changesā€ (Neil L. Andersen, ā€œRepent … That I May Heal You,ā€ Ensign or Liahona, Nov. 2009, 40–41).
