What to read over the break?

If you have fallen a little behind, I would recommend using the break to get caught up.  If you are caught up or ahead, I would recommend any or all of the following:
1) Read your scriptures every day.  Give the Lord the gift of consistency and faithfulness in scripture study, and He will bless you with revelation.
2) Read the Book of Mormon every day and make an effort to complete Pres. Nelson's challenge to read the whole Book of Mormon by the end of the year.
3) Read ahead in the Doctrine and Covenants with a plan to reread and study the sections again in preparation for class.  This can help you get a big overview and see what's coming but then focus on specific verses and principles later on and go deeper.
4) Go back and really study some of the sections we have covered in class.  Go deep.  Use the ldsscripturepower.org learning activities to really understand what you are reading.  Watch some of the videos, read extra talks, search out cross-references, try some of the scripture study skills on this page to get more out of your scriptures.  Take time to feast on the words of Christ.  Don't just nibble.
5) Share power scriptures with friends and family to help them come closer to Christ.
6) Read Saints, Vol 1.  Try to read the whole book over the break (you can also listen to it through Gospel Library)
7)Read your scriptures every day. Give the Lord the gift of consistency and faithfulness in scripture study, and He will bless you with revelation.

QUIZIZZ

I would also recommend using the quizizz site to keep the Doctrinal Mastery fresh and to review questions and concepts that will be on the test in January.  Go to https://quizizz.com/join/ and where it says find a quiz, search for CJH SEM.  This will give you access to any quiz I have made.  Challenge friends and families to a friendly duel and then beat then soundly and laugh contentedly.

I especially recommend any of the weekly quizizz and the one called CJH SEM LA Pre Assessment 1st Semester JSH, DC 1-76
