We talked on Friday about how to get more out of the scriptures by learning the context (The
circumstances that surround or give background to a scriptural passage, event,
or story.) The best way to learn the context, see the bigger picture, and enhance your scripture study is also the cheapest and the easiest because the Church provides a student home study guide for free online and in Gospel Library.
To locate it in GOSPEL LIBRARY: Go to LIBRARY--->SEMINARIES AND INSTITUTES--->SEMINARY--->NEW TESTAMENT STUDY GUIDE FOR HOME-STUDY SEMINARY STUDENTS. Once you find this manual long press on it and it will give you the option to "Add to..." You can then add this manual to your "Favorites" folder or to a folder of your own creation.
